The Career Development Center is one of the “crown jewels” of the Newhouse School, providing students and alumni alike with an invaluable resource for career success. Center staff provide training and support in networking, cover letter and resume writing and interviewing, and provide job and internship listings. Students and alumni also have access to the Newhouse Network, an online community of over 3,000 Newhouse alumni who are available for networking and career advice.

The center was founded in 1991 under the leadership of then-Dean David Rubin. In 2007, supported by a gift from Rubin and his wife, it was renamed the Tina Press and David Rubin Career Development Center.
